Alpha Project is mainly two guys, Vince and Mike. Special guests also contribute
to the recording and writing of the albums.
WHO ARE MIKE AND VINCE?
Mike and Vince are currently studying in respectively marketing and computer
engineering. Although they haven't studied music for a long time they've been
playing since.. well since I know them (a long long time). They both live
in Montreal since birth.
WHEN WAS THE ALPHA PROJECT CREATED?
I cannot remember the day when Vince or Mike started using the name ALPHA
PROJECT. Let's just say they've been playing (seriously) together since 1997
and they've been recording since 1998. Recently they've decided to publish
their songs via www.MP3.com,
it's the first time a non-contributor has been given the chance to buy one
of their CDs.
WHAT DOES VINCE DO IN ALPHA PROJECT?
Vince is the main music composer of the project, he writes parts for every
instruments played (except for special contribution). He is also the main
musician (he plays guitar, piano, harmonica, bass (when mike's not playing)
and everything else you can hear on their songs). He can be considered as
the singer because he does most of voices track. Let's just say he is the
"orchestra man".
WHAT ABOUT MIKE?
Is there anything left for Mike? Oh yes, for sure, although Vince writes
the music, Mike is often the concept creator behind songs. He is the one that
give the main ideas. Mike also writes most of the lyrics for ALPHA PROJECT.
And that's not all, Mike does many backvocals, he often plays the bass tracks
and most importantly he approves every song fine tuning it with Vince until
it's perfect. He can also be considered as the "manager" as he creates
most of the promotions and commercials for the "band".
